Just landed a 212 Interceptor, couple of questions

Postby Scoots » Fri Mar 03, 2017 7:10 pm

Hello all!

Love this boat, I can see the attraction. That being said I have a few questions that I think are specific to this boat..

1, This is the first boat Ive owned with off-shore style controls and boy it takes some getting used to. My controls are great but at running speed my throttle gradually reduces, I have to hold it in place this cant be normal?
2, Ive never owned a thru hull exhaust boat before but all Ive seen there is quite a bit of water coming out of the thru hull exists. I have captains choice and when in thru hull mode very little water comes out of the hull exhaust. Is this normal due to the captains choice? I could believe that if the case because a substantial amount comes out by the drive also while in that mode.

Thanks for your help.

We'd need video while running on muffs to confirm you're getting enough flow, but I'm pretty sure that some of the cooling water still exits the prop with the exhaust open. You may need an adjustment to your throttle cable, the stick shouldn't move on it's own.
Boatless, again.

Probably wont run it again until all the cold weather breaks. Yeah I figured there is probably some adjustment, figured I'd ask in case someones dealt with it and could send me right to it. Thanks.

The water is fine but yes the stick should not move on it's own.
