Guage question

Postby chaselee » Sun Aug 02, 2015 11:34 pm

My faria tachometer seems to have taken a dump this weekend as its stuck on 500 gpm, even with the battery off. So my question is, does the fancy little red bezel around the guage come off to be usable with a new guage. I haven't seen one with the bezel. Thanks

The bezel comes off, its just there for good looks.Faria gauges carry lifetime warranty in the USA , I think you have to return it to them to have it repaired.Local forum members should be able to confirm that.

I took the guage out today and the bezel does indeed come off. I called faria 3 times today and got nothing but voicemail. I did see on their website to repair a Tach is $100.

Wonderful "lifetime warranty", eh?

I had to replace mine 3 or 4 years ago. It was a $50 fee at that time. Also, the gage you get back has the hour meter at zero, so make sure to record the hours on yours before you send it.

Press the reset button on the back of it and try it again. It may not need to be returned.
