speed question

Are you trimming up the outdrive any at speed? Sounds like if you're engine is running fine you may b trimmed all the way down. Trim it up and the rpm's go up as well as the speed. Just a thought.

Yep I find that I get max speed with the engine trimmed up to about 1/4. Next step is to clean her up real good, wax it, and see what happens.

Hi there! A 21 pitch is TO MUCH for that 5.7L. Your RPMs should be in the 4800 range. What model VP 5.7L is it? I ran an 19P SS ENERTIA on HP the first year before engine mods (250 horse) and she ran 54MPH at 4900 RPMs.
