snap in carpet set

Postby shadillac » Thu Aug 07, 2014 7:16 am

Does anybody know if the 2007 and 2008 232 interceptors use the same carpet lay out? I'm needing new snap in carpet for a 2007 and wanna use somebody that already has the template on hand.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think they've changed the molds on the 232. The carpet should be the same. If you're lucky enough to get anyone on the phone at the factory, I'm sure they could tell you. If not, you could just take the carpet to a local upholstery guy and have a new set made.
Boatless, again.

I had mine redone at a local upholstery shop by a guy that I know through mutual friends. It cost me the cost of proper marine grade carpet and a good bottle of Kentucky Bourbon :D
I had to reinstall the stainless steel snaps, he lent me a professional tool to do it and it was not all that hard. The new carpet is so much nicer under foot, the old one was falling apart and I was patching it up using liquid electrical tape.

I just got new carpet from Corinthian, and it's very nice.

Installing the snaps was time-consuming (there are LOTS of them!) but not really that difficult, using the old carpeting as a template.
