New guy 217 LS

Postby charcoal1500 » Wed Aug 31, 2016 3:44 pm

Hello,

New guy to the forum. I picked up a 2008 217 LS in July. Boat is in fantastic shape! Had a 18 foot Reinelle before this, crazy how much more room in the new boat. You may have seen this boat posted in the for sale forums on this site. Only been able to get it out a couple of times due to work schedule but looking forward to some time on the water this weekend along with some late season boating. We are one of the few areas in California with a good amount of water in the lake.

Have had time to give a full detail posted couple of pictures of the results.

Lot's of questions to come I'm sure!

Thank you! Was really impressed for the condition of the boat for 8 years old when looked at it. I think it rolled 50 hours during the test drive.

Thanks! We have had a couple days in the 80's but more rain coming in. Looking forward to full lakes this summer! I'm also starting to look for a 4 blade SS prop, she was a little sluggish with a full load towing a tube.

Charcoal,

I also have a 217LS, mine has the 350 MAG MPI with Bravo 1 drive.

Stock she came with a 21" pitch 3B stainless.

I changed this to a 19" 4B SS, but when I dinged it I had it tweaked to to a 18".

I only use this prop now. Good luck
