What has been done so far;

Changed the engine oil and filter
Changed impeller
Change fuel filter/water separator
Changed lower unit gear oil
Changed out anodes
Tightened serpentine belt
Installed actual battery boxes and secured better (just had battery trays with strap)
Buffed the gel coat on sides and back, the back was so chalked it looked like a different color.
Cleaned up the skeg (it was pretty beat up) and repainted lower unit.
Rebuilt the subwoofer boxes, original were WAY too big, and the wood had started to swell (MDF). This will never again be an issue!
Trailer side boards were beyond rotten, built some new ones and covered with carpet.
Made new bunks and covered with carpet (the old boards looked ok but the carpet was falling apart)
LED lights on trailer
Waxed outside of hull (will work on inside over the next day or two)
Cleaned/pressure washed the trailer, waxed the fenders.
Took rear seat to have recovered, mostly just needed restitched but recommended to just go ahead and recover.
Pressure washed the cover, it's actually blue and matches the boat, not green like pollen!

I think that's all I have done so far. I will jump in the interior to clean it starting tomorrow evening.

Purchased a prop, an enertia 21p, hoping it will give better holeshot that the vengeance 23p. I know the energized is a much larger prop, more blade area for sure!

We will take her out on the initial run Saturday, I cannot wait!

Anyone know if the trim switch in the teleflex 3000 is replaceable??

Well forgive the typos. Typing from my phone with fat fingers and don't always catch auto correct (auto incorrect usually)

All the wood I am replacing is being coated with CPES (clear penetrating epoxy sealer) from the rot doctor. Hoping this will provide years of service!! I fiberglassed my sub boxes, they are giving WAY more sound now.

Anything I may have missed?

Finally made it to my "home" lake. Boat had a 23p Vengence (sp?) on it when I bought it. Our first time out I wasn't able to find smooth enough water to stretch it out and get WOT data, but what I did know was the hole shot sucked. It bogged down and would barely pull itself up on plane. Found an essentially new Enertia21p on eBay and swapped it out. I think I have hit paydirt. Comes out of the hole nicely, and if tach is correct I'm at about 4900/4950 WOT. This is with a full tank of fuel and just me and my young daughter on board. Super smooth water, 80 degrees this morning. Here are the pictures. Tried to upload video but will have to get to faster internet speed to upload.

Jfair32,

It's called speed box. I've compared it against two vehicles and the road side speed indicators, it's within 1mph with all of them so I feel it's accurate enough for my liking.

HP my purchase of the enertia was a direct result of your posts on this forum, thank you for directing me to it! I may try to find a rev4 19p if this one doesn't pull me up on a ski but I'm putting my money on that not even being an issue.

Looks great, and even though lotsa graphics isn't my thing, maybe add a discrete "Interceptor" graphic somewhere?

Looks classy now. May need a touch of something to set it apart from all the other runabouts tho?

Got up on aski for the first time in 10+ years. It pulled me up no problem but not quite like my old boat did. Of course it was a 16' Baja with a 150 O/B motor, so already over powered, and I had ahi five prop on it. That thing would scream, and jerk me out of the water like a rocket.

ZCD2.7T That's exactly what I was thinking, just putting the interceptor back in the original location. I'm searching for someone that has the original font as I would like it to look close to original.
