New owner of a 1994 caravelle project boat

Postby 94velle » Sat May 16, 2015 4:06 pm

I bought this boat as a "handy mans special" from a local marina who got it in trade for a new pontoon. Trailer is in good shape, engine is in good shape interior not bad for its age, but ohh boy. I'm gonna have some work to do. Floor is bad, motor mounts are rotten as well as the stringers. I've restored 2 aluminum hulled starcrafts a 1957 ski champ and a 1968 starchief but this is my first attempt at fiberglass. I really like the look of this boat, it's style is still current. I'm guessing it's a 1900. Serial number is VCL06213B494. Got a mercruiser magnum 350 in it and looks to be a fast little boat.

That ought to be fast for the size boat and that motor. My 26' Caravelle with a 350 runs about 52 mph.
