This was a great night on the water.

If you have never gone out at night I really recommend it.
The water calms down from a day of heavy boating. As you relax and watch the sun go down the water turns to glass, at that point you look at loved ones and say....

Thanks for sharing, how long did you stay out for ? I done a few trips at night ( ie, sun fully down) and even with GPS tails to follow and knowing the waterway well, gez its hard work.

We have been doing a lot of night trips as the wife and her friend LOVE it.... The night I took those pic's we only stayed out tell 9:30 cause we did not want to miss the inspection guy to get the AIS tag. It seems we have been staying out later and later. The last time we went out at night we took dinner, drinks and a movie. We played on the water and then just chilled out the rest of the night. Went in the cuddy and snuggled up as the wife and her friend call it and watched a movie. The lake we go to is Boyd state park and its not that big and I know it like the back of my hand. So I bring a flash light to spot the buoy's (would hate to run one of those over) on the way in. They have the marina marked very well with a light on a huge buoy to let you know your at the marina. I do know what your saying bout night driving being hard work cause I have been to lakes that are not marked at all and it may take a few trips to get back lol. All in all I'v always liked going out at night. Most people head in as the sun sets and you have the lake to yourself. it calms down and is just a great end to the day.

Happy boating everyone

Looks like you all had fun. I like being on the lake at night also. It is a little harder to see but if you know where you are going it is not hard for me. My wife gets a little nervous. I do a lot of night fishing and maybe that has gotten me used to it. I always carry a spotlight if I think that I will be out late. It helps when you get close to shore.
