I remember when EX-drag boat racer Eddie Hill broke the 5 second barrier in NHRA Top Fuel @ 4.99 in '88, Now it's 3.77.......

That's back when drag racing was fun to be a part of. Haven't heard Connie Kalitta in a LONG time.
Now it's under-handed BS that determines who races who and who wins.

I remember if you "sand-bagged" a race you probably would get your a$$ kicked......... you definately lost respect from the drivers.

That 3.77 record is at 1000' not 1/4mile. Nitro cars quit running the 1/4 mile about 3 years ago after too many deaths.

Connie Kalitta is at every NHRA national event; he owns a Top Fuel car his nephew drives and a Top Fuel funny car that his son drove until his death in it about 3 years ago.
