Where is everybody?

Postby sdk » Thu Jan 13, 2011 8:18 pm

I know the weather is bad in many parts of the country. We had snow and ice in SC earlier this week. Where is everybody?
Boat shows are just around the corner...North Charleston, SC is next weekend and the Columbia, SC show is in February.
I bought new carpet from Overton's to cover my boat trailer bunkers. Hang in there, y'all. Spring is coming.

Wholly crap it's cold outside! and I'm hibernating.

Bought a solar charger for the boat batteries a couple of weeks ago (with desulfinator) and got a couple of concrete blocks, put them under the trailer at the rear, and wenched up the front jack to take pressure off the tires.

Once this terrible GA snow melts I'll check the "outside" boat storage and make sure everything is all right.

Other than that... waiting.

Went to Table Rock this past weekend. To cold for the boat, but walked down to the water.

Lake is about 7' down from normal.

Can't wait till warmer weather.

If you haven't been there, you need to go.

Cold...ha ! Rookies!
You can drive on my lake in a car..... Its Charleston Lake but a long way from North or South Carolina.
10 months of winter and two months of bad weather……
Actually I think we have less snow than you and until last week were still looking at grass. In March its gone and boating weather is on the horizon late April early May. Can’t wait.
2nd season for my 192 and looking forward to it.

AM here and just wondering the same thing sdk  Can drive and M1A1 tank on our lake now. Going out on the hardwater everyday chasing fish  Crazy weather, call them Alberta Clippers here as they are fast moving fronts dropping outa Alberta, Canada, bring 1 to 4 inches of the white stuff every other and now every day  The fronts make the fish very finicky and reluctant to bite. But beats sitting in the house and every once i awhile get some great meals of fish

Been lots of Interceptors for sale listed on oodle.com

Alabama here and too cold to boat, unless you are a nut like my buddy with his bass boat who fishes all year long, but looking forward to an early spring. We can usually get on the water in mid to late March although the past couple of years we had some late freezes and so I didn't get her out until mid April.

Well I just had to answer this one! I am still here and enjoying a balmy 28c. of Sydney, Australia
Had 2 great days on the boat on our nearby waterway, a couple of beers with friends, plenty of swimming, a bit of relaxing on the boat and a game of cricket (for those who live US that's baseball along the ground...sort of) or two.
I get a do chuckle each Summer to know how lucky we are when I see posts of you guys complaining about the cold and ice and lake's frozen over. Our Winter does go much below 10c at worst. Long live summer

Hang in there guys Spring is not far away

Tennessee here....had lots of snow and cold COLD temps! Getting on the forum for the first time in many months as I peruse the www for a bigger Interceptor. We've enjoyed os 212 but we'd like a 232 with swim platform for this upcoming season. Maybe even a 260 if I can locate one. Nice to see the Caravelle forums still in "session."

Still here in Wyoming waiting for spring. We don't have much snow, but it's cold and the lakes are all froze over.

Just took the boat to a wedding reception on Saturday and then to lunch Monday afternoon. It was a little chilly but the water is like glass in the winter time. Was able to run WOT in the main part of the lake which will never happen in summer time with all the boat wake.
