caravelle t-shirts?

Postby dsstephens » Tue Feb 26, 2008 7:30 pm

so the t-shirt on the caravelle site that is available looks a bit lame. I know they are hard at work on boats, not marketing, but has anyone run across better t-shirt examples? I'd use the logo on cafepress, but I think that's illegal (no clue, seems like it should be, anyway).

I like t-shirts^1 and advertising our vessel of choice seems like a good use for them. Maybe some talented member could even come up with some? I'd certainly be willing to write a letter to caravelle asking for permission to use the logo, if it's necessary to do so.

Or am I the only one that wants one?

No you are not the only one..........lame is being kind. When I ordered my "lame" t-shirt I asked if they had any interceptor and of course they said no..........Hey Caravelle how about some new attire? Please!

We took the LOGO to a print shop and had hats, tshirts and stickers made. I don't think Interceptor is a TRADEMARK. We have the old Fors and Ford engines, many aircraft and even some other boats by that moniker.

If you're worried the last thing I would do is say so on a CARAVELLE website  GET 'ER DONE

even if the name/logo was trademarked, i can't imagine them getting too upset about the free advertising.

They probably wouldn't, but getting a t-shirt printer to use it might be problematic. At least, we've found that in the past when making shirts for the land rover club events.

The only way you could get in trouble for using any trademark or servicemark is to make some kind of profit off it. So, don't sale the shirts to anyone and your safe.
