I'm afraid Junior is going to have that super year everyone is saying he is going to have. Another bullet for the Hendricks gun! They will be tough to beat.

Actually, in my opinion, the race was sort of boring until the last 50 laps. It's like another Talledega, just waiting for the big one. I grew up with short tracks where there is more bumping and banging from the gitgo. I have been to Chicagoland, Kansas City, and Atlanta for races and probably Atlanta was the best because of the different grooves promoting good racing. Never have been a restrictor fan. I agree though, Congrats to Ryan and the Penske Team. Looks like Kurt may have finally matured. I wouldn't worry about the 24/48/88 teams ot the 20/18/11 teams. they will get there fair share of wins this year. Unfortunately, my Roush boys won't be doing too well this year.

Whew I thought it was horrible. I do not say that to aggravate you just really thought it was bad. Half of them were lip syncing and the other half sounded horrible. I prefer to remember the washed up has beens the way they were and not the way they are. Just being honest.

Overall it was a decent race. I enjoyed the way the COT allowed for what seemed to be more passing. I have that Jeff had the trouble he was a continder I beleive.

Congrats to Newman, I think he is a class act.

I thought it was a pretty good and fairly entertaining race...for a restrictor plate race....best one I've seen in awhile. I never cared much for restrictor plate racing...again...this one was pretty decent.

Congrats to Newman.

It's a great start for the new year. I'm impressed with how well the Gibbs cars have done so quickly with the switch to Toyota, I was concerned about it.

We'll be at Ca this weekend Friday and Sunday, Brindez will you be there?

We also will be in Vegas next weekend for the races there too. Keep us informed about Phoenix, there's a possibility we could get over there too...road trip?

Ok, Nuck....I must admit (regarding the entertainment) the "has beens" were there....but remember, I grew up in the 70's and 80's!

We too thought the race was boring, but it was sure fun seeing the cars ride those bumps on the road!

Lori.....What happened to Tony? My kids said that he should of ate off the "6 grams and UNDER" menu at Subway!!!????!!! (just kiddin') I thought he was gonna win it for sure. We will NOT be there this weekend, but are seriously thinking of trading our Fontana tickets and getting Phoenix tickets this year for November's race. (The weather should be a lot better). Our whole team of 9 people seem to agree.....and yes, a road trip would be in store. We'll keep in touch about it! Have a great time in Fontana! 8)

Went to the LA Boat Show last Friday....I'll post pics on a separate forum this week....was NOT impressed by the new 260LS....more later!

Take care ya'll! And happy racin'!

Ca was WET last weekend! I'm glad the weather reports for Vegas this weekend is much more promising. Since there were a few laps run on Sunday we did get to see a little action. Here are some pics from the garage and pit road. Any requests for next week? Yes, Dezi I'll try for a better one of Jeff for you lol. We met a lot of really great people but I have to say the Mears family are some of the nicest people around, it was a pleasure talking with them.
