It's snowing in SC

Postby sdk » Wed Jan 16, 2008 9:12 pm

It's snowing in western Orangeburg county, SC! No accumulation is expected since the air temp. is 38 and the ground temp. is much warmer. It's nice to see it falling, but I'd rather have it sunny and 85.

SNOW REPORT:

We ended up with 232 snow flakes and 1/4 cup of sleet.

The all night rain that followed was just what we had been praying for. More rain is on the way for Friday night and Saturday. We need it to fill Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie back up.

We seldom get snow up in this end of the state, just ice.

The good news is, 54 degrees tomorrow and it will all be gone.

Enjoy it Dezi!

We're due to get 3 inches or more today. I know this is pretty trivial in some parts of the country, but down here, since it only happens about once every year or two, cities don't budget the manpower or equipment to handle it. An inch of snow and ice completely shuts down the town. Of course we have the people that think they can drive on ice because they saw it on a commercial. We usually find them turned sideways in a ditch.

I just saw the weather report for the Packer's game.
Don't know how you do it. :worship:

But HP,
It's a "dry cold". I'm told that that is not so bad.

I here you!!! It is way to cold here in Iowa. I am completely sick of the snow. We are supposed to get another 4-6 inches by Tuesday morning.
