Thanks, Gentlemen!

Brian starts tomorrow....and I think he's REALLY looking forward to it!

As I type this & look out the window, the sky has turned yellow  There are two MAJOR fires in the area...one near Lake Piru (where we have often gone) and one in Malibu. We decided to stay put today, as our church is even setting up an evacuation center....SCARY!!!

Take care guys....and again thank you for supporting us!

Hey everyone....

Another bit of GOOD NEWS!!

WE FINALLY TOOK OUR BOAT OUT AGAIN TO THE LOVELY PACIFIC OCEAN YESTERDAY! :D

After a month of not having a job, we were long overdue....for some relaxin'! It was a lovely day, mid 70's, with swells about 2-3'. We did some harbor cruising, then took her out into open water. It was great, and the kids did not complain once about having to wash her down after being in salt water!

Stupid me, though, in the rush to get out I forgot my camera... Oh well, next time!!!!

Hope all of you had a great weekend! :)

Hi Dezi,

We got out on sunday as well. We went to Casitas to "teach" Bailey how to fish. Not a nibble since at 3, she doesn't stop talking except long enough to take a breath! The lake is really down but pretty as always.

Glad all is well with you guys.

So when are you moving to Santa Barbara? Or isn't it a CEO position? How's his drive hopefully it's against traffic. How close was the Magic Fire to you and Irishlori?

Hi Lori!

Glad you guys went out too!!! Had you of called us, we probably would of gone out to Casitas too! :-) (It was our 2nd choice!) Wasn't the weather great? Glad you had a nice time.

Bailey fishing, huh? How cute!! Might as well start her young! As we were cruising the harbor, we saw many sea lions and pelicans...it was cool. It was sooooo nice being able to relax on board...I just laid across the sun pad and waved at the other boaters going by...it was very peaceful....boy, we have A LOT to be thankful for.

Take care.....and Happy Holloween!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Speaking of Ghosts....Bucky, how the heck are you? You disappear, then reappear!! How's that new boat of yours? How's the Mrs.? Please send her our best too! :-)

Well, Santa Barbara is definitely not a place we can afford yet!!! CEO...SCHMEEE - E- O....MY FOOT! Well, the drive has increased by about 30 minutes...but because of traffic. His new job is only 5 miles further, near U.C. Santa Barbara, in Goleta. But so far, so good.

The Magic fire got to about 20 miles from me, near Lake Piru....(on it's way to Ventura County) The fire has been contained in the last 2 days, but the damage was still enough to cause major smoke in our area. I am sure Irishlori also got smoke near her. It was raining ashes for about a week....still was scary....but nothing like the fires in Orange County, San Diego, and the Arrowhead mountian communities....so sad.

Nice to hear from you Bucky! Still looking for those boat pictures!!!!!

Take care,

HI Bucky

Thanks for the thoughts. Like Dezi said, we're fine but got a lot of smoke (schools closed down for a day due to smoke) and ash but no direct threat. There was a 35 acre fire here in Moorpark a little less than a mile away but they jumped on it REALLY fast and got it our in under 2 hours. Our older daughter was evacuated for a day and half due to the Irvine/Santiago Fire but her place is fine except for ash and smoke. One of the girls she works with lost their family home tho - very sad.

Hope you guys are well and happy - can't wait to see your pics
