Prayers for my wife.

Postby Chappy » Fri Sep 28, 2007 5:10 pm

My wife is finally leaving for Iraq on Sunday. She will be the head nurse in the E.R. in the green zone. While she will be safer than many, a nurse was killed a few months ago in that same spot. She is not scheduled to come home until February '09.

Chappy,
I don't know any words that can really convey my appreciation for people like your wife that are serving our country.
Please know that you and she will be in my thoughts often and I pray for her safe and soon return.
When she gets settled, please post an APO address and anything she may need or like to have to make her stay more tolerable.
May God bless you both.

Chappy & Mrs Chappy,

Stay safe - look up my cousin Mjr Steven McGee also in the Green Zone there after being called back from reserves for another 2 yr stint. He's a super great guy and comes from a long time boating family. You already have things in common. He's just been there for a few months now and it'd be fun for him to get an inperson message that his cousin Lori says "hi" from a friend.
I know his wife and son and granddaughter miss him as do the rest of us. Thank you for what you all do away from your families. I can't imagine it.

Stay safe and don't forget to duck!

Thanks for the service that your family does this country through your sacrifice. Regardless of what you hear, there are more of us that appreciate it than not--the nutcases and intellectually challanged get the press.

Thanks again.

Dearest Chappy and Mrs. Chappy.....

Suddenly my problems with my husband not having a job, seem so little....

We send prayers to God for safety, wisdom and protection over your wife as she heads to Iraq. She is very brave, and must be so proud to serve the U.S.A. as an E.R. nurse. I pray that she is able to keep in contact with you and your family during this time of war, and that she feels your warmth and support through the distance.

She will be a blessing to so many there who need her....keep thinking that in your heart. Please let her know that this boating "community" is praying for her, even though we don't know her!

God bless you, your wife, your family....
