Job Loss This Week :-(

Postby brindez » Thu Sep 27, 2007 11:55 pm

Hey there friends,

Please keep us in your prayers....my husband lost his job suddenly this week....in fact, the whole engineering company shut the doors without any warning to anyone...big shock. What's worse, everyone only got one week's severance....

Please pray for peace, patience, wisdom....and that Brian will be able to find an Electronic Engineering position very soon. He was the sole provider for our family....this is hard, and he now has the title "Mr. Mom"

One good thing is that Boater's World has been a blessing and has allowed me to work extra hours to help bring in a little extra money....they are a great company to work for, and truly has supported our family.

Thank you, friends....I will keep you posted.

Saddened in Ventura,
Dezi

P.S. No more boating....for a long while. :(

It's unfortunate that we are hearing of these job losses so often. My thoughts and prayers are supporting you as well. I pray that even better opportunities await you.

Thanks, friends, for your support and prayers! :)

We are moving step by step on this one. Brian has put out about 12 resumes already.....and there's still a possibility that the military contracts will be renewed and he will get his old job back....wouldn't that be nice??!!

Again, we appreciate your thoughts. This weekend I'll be at Boater's World selling supplies to people like you! So come by and shop!

Dezi, sorry to hear about your hubby's loss of job...that really sucks! Life always seems to have an odd way of working work even if we can't see it at the time. My best to you and your Hubby! I'll work out! Keep your spirits up!

Bummer! What a shock!
I got dumped 13 years ago, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I got my current job before the severence pay ran out from the old job.
Good luck. Keep a positive outlook! Tell everyone you know that you are looking for a job! A friend told me about the job I have now!

Thank you so much, my friends, for your prayers...

It's very nice to hear so many encouraging words from friends on this forum.....our family appreciates you all very much!

Brian is still sending out resumes, and today had a preliminary phone interview with one company. He's got several head hunters looking for him, which is encouraging. And yes, we have given resumes to many friends to pass on to their H.R. managers!

Me, well, besides being a worrier (not necessary a warrior!), I'm trying to hang on to hope, and working lots of hours at Boater's World. They've been so very nice to me, and have given me full time hours as needed! :-)

Please keep praying that the "Big Guy" (as HP stated!) (God), will provide a position for Brian, and that He will give us strength and patience to get through this. (Sorry to bring religion in this, but yes, we are Christians!)

Hugs and handshakes to all,
