Any BIKERS out there suffering from the cold??

Postby Nashvillian » Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:28 am

Whether you're a fair weather or hard core ride anytime kind of biker the cold may be sidelining your ride just as your boat! The talks about Daytona Beach bring a need to daydream of warmer times and the beach. Once the melee has settled on the NASCAR circle then the two wheelers get their shot at the 180-190 MPH zone of fun! My two wheel fun was originally on the streets until an unfortunate accident that cured me from being "Stupid" and therefore I grew up a little and move to a safer 2 wheel sport. 1/4 mile......anyone?

Anyone got any pics of your 2 wheeled babies, preferably pictures with a warm background setting  , that you would send in for the rest of us to drool over?? Below are a few pictures of my bikes which defintely mandates them as "FAIR" weather beasts.

OOOOOOOOOOO............................that looks like fun! i've always wanted a ducati 998 but every time i get on a bike, i find myself at some retarded speed on a road i have no business being in the triple digits. i've decided that having one would not be good for my life expectancy, and i don't want my daughter growing up without a daddy.
Boatless, again.

Yep, something I'm really proud of. I ride it a couple hundred miles a year at the most. Like keeping it clean and tinkering with it as much as anything.

This is an '03, 1200 Sportster, 100th aniversary edition.

Also, I rode over the new Penobscot Narrows Bridge a few days after it opened, in December '06

Ron, that '80 Yamaha looks like my old '79 Honda 400CMT, that was a popular color back then.

New to Dragbike racing... not new to the dragracing world however.

Must say that there is something special about the "dragbike" community.

Here's my new toy...

bought this bike last year after i sold my seadoo. its an 05 hd 1200 sportster. shes got stage 1 SE on her. right now shes in the garage with 6,003 miles on her. i enjoy riding, but sellin the seadoo was a mistake. this bike is goin up for sale soon. (top pic, firehawk is in the background under the cover. its a 1993 and this week on my way to a friends wedding i rolled 10k miles. lol actually that same day i found myself going 4x the legal speed limit. haha i was late to the wedding, what can i say  ) (bottom pic, dad is takin her home for the winter for me. thats his f250, and in the rear is my 06 dodge dakota night runner)

Very nice Dman!!!!!

I've owned a couple of the KZ style racebikes and loved them. Enjoy the time! However you will find yourself sitting at the track one day sweating to death wondering why you're not in your Caravelle instead of those leathers.

Enjoy it man!

Thanks. I went with the KZ because 1. I got a deal from a guy local to me. He is tremendously helpful getting me going, and 2. the parts etc are so available as I am sure I will eventually need some.

Yeah, even May here in Florida is hot as al H*LL in those leathers.
My local track will run a couple more events then shut down until after the heat of the summer.

Hot or not -- I'm hooked. That accelleration. :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Old thread but may as well jump in anyways.

I've owned 8 or 10 bikes with mostly being sportbikes (love speed) with a Harley and a Big Dog Bull Dog thrown in the mix as well.

Currently the wife and I both have a bike. I have a red Yamaha R1 and she has a blue R6 as seen in the avatar.
