I should be there on Saturday. Prolly just a day trip though. The best coves I like are back near cliffview marina past the no wake zone so it stays smooth, but its like 50-60 ft back there. My favorite spot is back in King creek cove, its where that rock is out of the water that people jump off of. If you go back into the cove just past the boat houses is no wake zone and about 30-40ft deep. And enough room for atleast 6-8 boats tied together. Also if your heading to juniper cove on the water, pass it and there's a nice cove after it. As well as across from McCowen park there's a big cove. Sometimes its busy sometimes its not.

We just booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Hillsboro. We were going to get a cabin at juniper cove but they had a 30 day cancelation policy and since I never know about my job...
We will be at the ramp/cove at juniper cove marina Sat morning by 10:30. My wife and I will be bringing our 12 yr old daughter with us. My cell is 214-415-3003.

Take lots of pictures out this weekend and please share, sorry couldn’t make it. have to shoot a wedding all day Saturday (im a photographer). Last min photo jobs are always a pain but the pay is always nice. Would of been nice to see all you guys and put a face to the names on here.

I ran into my second Caravelle on Lake Travis this past Saturday and it was my mini me, an 18 or 19 ft LS. We were both putting our boats in at the same time. He was like, this is the first time I’ve seen another Caravelle out here. I really like Lake Travis over Lake Austin just the drive and the long ramp at the dam really is something else for my truck. Has to be at least an 80 to 90 yard from top down to the water.

Have fun and be safe out there..

Forecast for lake whitney on saturday aug 18.....They were calling for 60% chance of rain....but as of today they have dropped it to 30%! 95 degrees and wind less than 10 kts. Not too bad!

Sorry guys, I have to bail out on the trip. Between work and kid's sports, we can't swing it. Was looking forward to Whitney, only been there once and it was beautiful. Enjoy and be safe!

Don't forget to bring food on your boats. There are no restaurants on the lake. We will probably bring lunch and dinner on ours.

Same here guys. I'm sorry we are not going to make it. I feel terrible about it. I really wanted to hook up with everyone and meet my long time friends and make new ones.

You all take plenty of pics and have a fun and safe day.

My family and I had a great time meeting two other Caravelle families yesterday on Lake Whitney. The weather didn't really cooperate with us since we had to ride out several rain storms, but we had fun non the less.

We anchored up in a protected cove to get out of the worst of the weather.
