Mercury SpitFire 4 blade aluminum

Hello everyone. 1st post new member and new to boating. Late July we bought a 2004 212 with 254 hrs on it. It has the 350 Mag MPI and 1.5 bravo 1X Diesel out drive. I have been stalking this site for a month or two now before becoming a member and was not able to find anything about a Mercury SpitFire 4 blade aluminum prop. Does anyone have experience with it?

No experience with that prop but after looking it up it appears to be a pretty standard issue 4 blade prop. It's your outdrive that's got me stumped though. I've never seen a Bravo X drive on anything less than a 496HO. Leads me to believe it's been replaced. And I've never seen the diesel designation on an X drive either. At least the ratio is correct for your setup.
Boatless, again.

I was reading about that also. I don't know if this boat had a motor swap or an outdrive swap. From what I have read about that 1x diesel it is supposed to be good for something like 600hp. That seems like over kill mating it to a 350. Where we boat most of the time there are some shallows. I joke that parts of that lake is like navigating an invisible maze. Just looking for a "disposable" prop that will deliver decent holeshots and/or water sports.

I stand corrected the diesel is only good for 320hp...I guess the XR is good for 600hp. I should have read more carefully :hammer:
