Need to buy a spare tire

Postby egore1 » Wed Jun 25, 2014 2:19 pm

I need to get a spare tire for my 1995 1900SE sitting on a single axle Classic trailer. The existing tires are P205/70R14. Do I just match the tire size with any standard brand tire? How are trailer tires sold? By weight? By tire size - just like car tires? Total weight of the rig is around 2800 pounds, if this helps.
Thanks,

You can buy trailer rim and tires at tractor supply. Just make sure that the load rating matches on what is on the tounge of the trailer. I wouldnt use a car tire (from experience) they are not nearly the rating that you need.
