Wheel bearing seals Tennesee trailers

I noticed some time ago that my original seals had a double lip. None of the car parts stores carried it, just a single lip. I finally found them. R.H Scales is a company that sells trailer parts, the seal number is 10-19 at $3.75 each. These do a much better job of keeping out the water and keeping the grease in than the single lip seals. Change them annually when you repack the bearings (with synthetic grease) and you'll never have a bearing failure. And don't over lubricate those bearing buddies, fill them when you repack them and leave them alone!!! Unless you like "oil cooled brakes" Ha!

Great information! I had mine changed a few years ago and I think they used the single lip seals since I've had several problems since then.

Thanks, Mike
