What?!

You mean that you didn't go out there and borrow $100,000.00 and get a new Suburban and boat?

I thought those low interest rates were supposed to stimulate the economy.

How unpatriotic of you, Interceptor91.

And how smart.

Smart move.........laugh all the way past the bank my friend.

Taffy, I am 24 years old and don't make 6 figures, or even close. I like to have fun on a budget! All my stuff is American made, including a pontiac GTO. 'MERICA!!

You know I'm just kiddin' you right?

Take it from someone who's well over twice your age. You're doing the right thing kid.

I know I was too! My fiance wanted a truck to match the boat. I wanted to save money. It's a truck not a purse, I say. At the most I'd put a yellow pinstripe to replace the red one!

Well done, buy what you can afford. Keep your debts down and you will do fine.

This is random but, I cant find many older 1st gen interceptors anywhere online. Did they not make as many at first? Also was 1990 the first year made? I found a couple here and there but not many. [/u]

Yes, I believe 1990 was the first year for the Caravelle Interceptor. They bought the mold from Mel Hart Industries in Arkansas. Their name for it was the Baretta Phaser 230, I bought one new at the in Indy boat show in March of 1989 and they promptly went out of business shortly thereafter.
Mine was an open bow but they also made a cuddy cabin model which was in my opinion ugly.
I have some old pictures of the Baretta but none of them are digital and I haven't scanned them to my PC yet.
