Rub Rail for 1900SE

Postby egore1 » Tue Sep 06, 2016 12:27 pm

Last weekend my son used the boat and drove past a dock piling a little too closely and dislodged a section of the rub rail on the starboard
side of the boat, just past halfway back. There is about 4 inches missing . The picture below (from a TACO catalog) shows the style that
needs replacing. I'm thinking that I could replace the cracked rub rail and (maybe replace the insert back to the join in the middle of the transom.
Does anyone have any extra lying around from a project that I could buy? I would need about a foot of the rub rail and six feet of the insert. (unless I have to replace it all around
the boat.) Thanks.

West Marine probably has rail inserts.
