draining the anchor locker

Postby doublrr » Tue Oct 28, 2014 10:47 am

The Seahawks was not designed w/ a drain for the anchor locker so water collects and sits until it gets bailed out. I want to drill a hole in the bottom of the space for a drain but....am I punching into the hull? If I do this will the water drain into the bilge?

Thanks a very good question.
I have hosed off the line inside the anchor locker on several occasions. I just assumed the water would flow into the bilge and be pumped out.

You can drill a small hole in the bottom corner the anchor well and drain it out side the boat. You can then attach a stainless cover to the little hole to prevent water coming in.
