Removing T Top

Postby maxthrottle » Fri Jul 11, 2014 7:17 am

Has anyone removed the T top from their Seahawk?
I want to remove the T top structure so I can raise the console higher so I can cut the deck to remove the leaking fuel tank.
I'm reluctant to remove the 16 screws (4 at each post) because I'm not certain if the backer plate or bolts on the underside of the deck are retained. Since there is no access, if these bolts are plate is not retained, I'll have no way to reattach the T top to the deck with the long bolts. I love the way this boat rides and performs but trying to fix it leads to a never ending series of unpleasant surprizes....any help here is appreciated!
Thanks,
Bob
