2005 SeaHawk 280. Came with twin Merc 250 efi 2 strokes, repowered in 2008 with twin Suzuki 175 4 strokes.
Went from 60-61 mph WOT to 48 mph WOT, still able to cruise @ 30 mph.
Gas mileage went from 1 mpg to 2.3 mpg. Used to get closer to 2.5 mpg but ethanol has reduced that.
Suzuki maintenance is a breeze, change the oil, oil filters and lower gear lube every 100 hours, takes 90 minutes from start to finish.
only con is can't go 60 mph anymore but in the ocean, who cares! Pros - New engines, no smoke, no fumes, you can hear conversations and wallet stays a little fuller.

Nice....I wish I had a 28' version man on man I tell ya what. A couple boats I looked at before the Seahawk has Suzi's.

I've got a 2004 Yamaha F225 and it's been a good motor so far. The water impeller is super easy to change. I heard the T-stats are mother @#$%^& to change but they usually don't malfunction and if they do, their usually stuck open.

The one issue I have had, as you may have seen in a previous thread I made in the maintenance section, the screen on the bottom of the HP pump easily gets clogged up and you have to take the VST assembly out to clean it; it's a pain in the arse. Otherwise, as you stated, quiet, decent fuel mileage and easy routine maintenance.
