I have to run my new 18 cx with trim all the way down

Postby Interceptor18cx » Sat Aug 13, 2016 6:51 am

I have a new 19cx interceptor with a 250 hp motor in it. The stern is so heavy that it will not allow me to trim it up without major bouncing. It will start doing this a about 35 to 40 mph.

Any help or suggestions welcome.

What type of prop do you have now? A 4 blade prop tends to offer more stern lift and will also keep you on plane at a lower speed. You can sometimes expect to lose a couple MPH on the top end though, depending on prop & hull characteristics. Also, if you're porpoising, a little more throttle should settle it without the need to trim down.
Boatless, again.

I recommend the sting ray hydrofoil BUT, it is NEW. MAKE THE DEALER FIX IT! That's crazy unless you changed the prop.
