Fuel system

Postby jnermon » Sat Jul 30, 2016 6:06 pm

Hey all, anybody ever experience a problem as if it were flooded ( in know it can't get flooded with electronic), unless i am wrong, or bad fuel pump and ended up not being able turn over. I had fun all day with my 2002 interceptor with vp 5.7. Then heading back to marina it started right up traveled through no wake zone for about 4 minutes and threw the hammer down and it almost planned but then shut down just before planning. Tried to start it and it gave a symptom like a bad fuel pump or like it were flooded and wouldn't turn over. Had to get towed in. The following day same thing, had fun on the lake all day then the same thing.

Sounds like maybe the fuel line is getting pinched off by a vacuum. You could check and see if those lines are really soft.

Sounds like a bad connection the the fuel pump. But, if it senses no oi pressure because of a bad connection it also shuts down the fuel pump. HOT PURSUIT had the same issue but she has a MERCRUISER
