I still visit it regularly but not much happening here.I'm waiting for the weather here in OZ to warm up.Only had one or two warm days here to boat but too busy on those days to take advantage of them.I've done the trailer wheel bearings, oil and filters changed on the motor and oil in the outdrive replaced.Still due to clean and polish. There has been a lack of posts with members outings this year, and it's not going to improve as you guys are going into your fall and winter.

I have not been on here as much this summer but we have not been on the lakes much either. The ramps just opened back up about three weeks ago. In May we had a ton of rain. Our two closest lakes were up around 16' high. The larger one to our north was up 26'! Needless to say, this is the least amount of time I have put on a boat in years. I did put new carpet from Corinthian in the boat this summer....looks nice!

I still visit the site, but like Dan, the lakes were up too high to get onto, so I only made it out 3 times all summer.

I have been intending to get on here and post something. Living northwest of Fort Worth, we were high and dry up until May. The lake was about 80 feet from my boathouse. In late February our lake was 11 feet low. Anything over 4.5 low and i cannot lower the boat. By mid-July our lake was 3 feet over full and the lake was closed. It was raining it seemed like every weekend so we couldn't get out. I think one weekend in late June when lake was full but not closed, I was able to get out, for a few minutes. Had our kids and grandkids onboard. After boat was warmed up and we started down the lake, I heard something like a belt hitting against a pulley. Raised the bonnet and sure enough the belt was off. Looking further, the pulley was extended out from the water pump housing. So i jiggled it a little and it fell in the bilge, pulley hooked to the shaft. I only had 28 hours on a new impeller that I had put in late in 2013. Boat sat for 1.5 years for the most part. I think the water pump shaft was rusted to the two bearings in the housing and when i hit the rpms, it bound up and spun the shaft, bearings and pulley out, all as one unit. at least i think that is what happened. fortunately my neighbor was on his new boat close by and towed us home.

so the next weekend or two, the lake was closed anyway while i replaced the impeller again. did it myself so it took awhile. Second time i have done this so I have some lessons learned I will try to share. First time i did it i didn't take out the compartment under the rear seat. this time i did and it took less time and was a little easier. Anyway, was able to put about 40 - 45 hours on it this summer. My wife wouldn't let us do anything but go out on the boat every Saturday and Sunday pretty much. Will post more later. Gotta go eat some Mexican food. Rick

I've been on Modern Camaro and Corvette Forum a lot lately.
Hubby and I ran the Interceptor last weekend. That will probably be it for 2015. Winterization is next.
I hope all are well!! 8)

Admittedly, it's been more than a few weeks since I've been on. I still come here to see if anyone else posts any helpful hints or has a question; but then the boss comes into my office & I have to shut down!
We've used the boat a good deal over the summer and, whatever problems I've had, I just had the mechanic at the marina take care of. I brought the boat home October 29th after having it winterized. The last time I took her out, I spent two or three hours parked at a beach with 2000 grit wet/dry and worked on the oxidation of the gelcoat. During the off season, I'll go over it again and then buff and wax.
Then before next season begins, we'll get the cushions in the bow area repaired and recovered.
Right now, the cat uses it as a perch to scan for prey! Good a use as any, I guess.

That should be a good bird crap deterrent.

Here, listening, upgrades coming, but after the holidays. Carpet, vinyl, sound system, Caravelle not much help so far with questions, no response from two e-mails, but I still have some time.

Hi there. I am a new boat owner just bought a Caravelle a couple months ago. Tried to join then too but was just approved the other day. I hope to learn from the veterans here. Thanks, Stever
