Hi All,
I pulled the stock 5.0 a year after I bought the boat and installed the 383 Mag MPI.
It would hit 55mph on a good day with the 383 Mag.
This year a week before Labor Day I installed the Whipple she hit 70.6 last weekend. I am still tinkering around with props to get it just right.

I figure about 550HP and 650 torque with the current set up.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Nothing bad happened to the stock power plant I just wanted more speed.

Wink

If we had a poll, I would bet that at least 50% of Forum regulars would jump at the chance to make similar Mods Exclamation

Please post some performance stats when you are finished tweeking Very Happy
What is next? A nice set of polished headers would look fabulous with that Whipple nestled between them Wink Wink

Thank you all for the nice compliments.

I am running a Volvo SX drive with 1.6 Ratio. And her name is Toy. I am thinking about changing her name to blown assets Laughing

Next I am thinking about Stainless Marine exhaust, Edlebrock e-tec 200 aluminum heads, roller rockers and maybe a cam upgrade.

I would love to put Corsa thru hull exhaust to someday.

Right now I am running a 25P Mercury Revolution 4 prop at around 5300-5350 RPM although my rev limiter is set at 5600 I think the cam is to small. May try a 27P Mercury Mirage Plus 3 blade. Smile

Thank you,

I hope I don't make anyone jealous.
What type of polished headers do you have in mind I am looking for suggestions.

Every one have a great weekend!

Thank you,
James Bivins

I was under the impression that thru-hull exhaust was essential when you are talking 550HP.

Any boat with factory installed motor with that kind of HP always has it. Plus more air in(whipple) more air out (thru hull).

AND THE SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*** Nice setup. Big thumbs up Cool for the Caravelle hull to handle that kind of speed!!! ***

"Bad Exhaust is the number 1 reason for blown engines"
is a quote from a web site, http://www.boatstoreonline.com/exhaust.html that sells all types of headers and "Captian's Call" exhaust.

Your baby can breathe in, she needs to be able to exhale Exclamation Twisted Evil Exclamation Twisted Evil

We need a video when you are done Exclamation

P.S. Love the name "Blown Assets" Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
