Hi new to the forum and also new owner of a caravelle. Bummer the company is out of business. I sold my sea ray and got this boat and love it. I am though looking to find books on the model. I can get manuals for engine and outdrive but what about the boat itself.
Thanks |

There are no manuals on these boats. I was disappointed when I bought my boats. I thought you would get electrical schematics, operators manual, etc. I just guessed that is how it is in the boating industry. Don't really know. What Searay did you have and why did you get rid of it and why did you buy a Caravelle. Good choice, I might add _________________ 2010 267LS 496 375hp Bravo III |

There's a generic boat owner's manual for Caravelle boats available on their website (www.caravelleboats.net). _________________ 2007 Caravelle 237 LS

Guys,
Keep in mind that these are pretty generic boats. That's not to say that they aren't nice but they are pretty straight forward.
As far as wiring, these boats comply with ABYC standards. Pick up a copy of any good text dealing with marine electrical systems and you'll find wiring color code standards from ABYC.....you'll have to pay for the info if you want it from ABYC.
I don't know why......
Since most people won't do that here is a link to the ABYC standards for marine wiring on small craft. Compare this to what you have in your boat and you'll see that it's accurate.
I believe that the reason there is no schematic is that any qualified marine electrician (or boat owner competant to work on his boats electrical system) doesn't need one. You can figure it out on your own.
I'm not trying to be a wise guy but this is just my opinion. Have fun out there and be safe.
Here's the link....

A suggestion. If you don't understand the above link, don't play around with your electrical system. Get yourself some education or take it to someone who can repair or troubleshoot properly
